Starting an LLC in New Mexico

An LLC in New Mexico is a formal structure that protects your home, car, and bank account if your business is sued.

An LLC can be used to run a business or hold assets like real estate, cars, boats, or airplanes.

It’s easy to set up an LLC . Search the state database for your New Mexico LLC’s name and choose your  Registered Agent.

Send your  Articles of Organisation to the  Secretary of State and wait for your LLC to be accepted.

The only way to file a  LLC is online. The registration fee is $50, paid to the Secretary of State only once.

Your  LLC will be accepted in one to three business days after you file.

Due to the current state of the world and government delays, it may take longer to file. Please look at how long it takes to get a New Mexico LLC.

After accepting your New Mexico LLC, finish your Operating Agreement and get your  EIN Number (also called a Federal Tax ID Number) from the IRS. Check to see if your  LLC needs any business licenses.

And unlike most states, New Mexico doesn’t have an Annual Report that LLCs have to file. But your LLC still has to pay any  LLC Taxes due yearly.
